THE LAND
RESTORATION TRUST

|
www.landrestorationtrust.org.uk
The Land
Restoration Trust (LRT) is a national organisation that takes
ownership of public open spaces, such as Dinnington and Kiveton
once they have been restored. The LRT has sites all around the
country. Uniquely the LRT takes on a sum of money for each site,
usually part of the restoration costs, which it invests. The
interest earned from this investment will then pay for the management
of the site in perpetuity. This effectively secures the long
future of green space like Dinnington.
To ensure the maximum benefit to the community around each site,
the Trust funds partner organisations who run the site at a local
level. Both Dinnington and Kiveton are managed by the Forestry
Commission who have designated a ranger, James Smith, to look
after both sites.
